Manager of Procurement and Purchasing Compliance

About This Role

The Manager of Procurement and Purchasing Compliance will develop and implement procurement compliance standards and programs across The Scion Group's resident communities. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and performance of the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement function, focusing on cost control, risk exposure, and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Refine and maintain corporate procurement and purchasing compliance policies and frameworks
• Develop and implement internal controls governing PO issuance, contract approval workflows, and vendor engagement
• Build and manage compliance dashboards using Coupa Advanced Analytics
• Monitor managed vs. unmanaged spend to highlight areas for improvement and ensure policy adherence
• Serve as the primary point of contact for procurement compliance across business units
• Collaborate with community managers to monitor compliance performance and provide coaching or corrective action
• Develop category-specific SLAs and KPIs to drive consistency, quality, and value from product and service providers
• Standardize new and existing vendor evaluation procedures to ensure consistency with the "Scion Standard"
• Oversee recurring contract calendar management and ensure timely renewals and supplier contract terminations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing compliance, or strategic sourcing
• 5+ years of experience with procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Oracle)
• 5+ years of experience with MS Excel or equivalent
• Deep understanding of procurement compliance best practices, KPI tracking, and risk management strategies
• Proven success leading cross-functional initiatives and compliance rollouts across large or multi-site organizations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, purchasing compliance, or strategic sourcing. A minimum of 5 years of experience with procurement platforms and 5 years with MS Excel.
