Manager, Merchandise Execution

About This Role

The Manager, Merchandise Execution ensures an exceptional shopping experience at Macy's by leading a team to attractively present merchandise. This role involves overseeing all merchandising activities, including product movement, pricing, signage, visual execution, and event setup. The manager cultivates a supportive work environment through coaching, training, and positive management.

Responsibilities

• Apply fashion and merchandise execution experience to drive sales and profits
• Implement optimal merchandise execution standards by interpreting seasonal and monthly guides
• Lead the communication, execution, and training of visual merchandising directives and brand partner requirements
• Create stunning store displays using various resources
• Strategize on pricing, signage, visual presentation, events, and merchandising
• Provide strategic support for Own Your Style fixtures, fashion trends, and setups
• Lead DEI initiatives through mannequin and trend presentations
• Train the Manager of Sales & Customer Service on merchandising execution standards
• Manage, coach, develop, and discipline direct and indirect reports
• Manage inventory, including receipt flow, placement, and stockroom organization

Requirements

• 3-5 years of management experience in retail
• Proficiency in visual merchandising directives and standards
• Ability to strategize on pricing, signage, and visual presentation
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs and perform constant moving, standing, and reaching

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years of management experience in retail

• Experience with inventory management and stockroom organization
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
