Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Produce high quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner. Ensure compliance with MQSA and FDA mandates regarding quality control activities.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease
- Produce high quality radiographic images
- Interact with patients in a caring and comforting manner
- Perform required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA
- May utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams depending on location
Requirements
- Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
- National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire
- Successfully complete mandatory 48-hour mammography training course prior to commencing employment
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Nice to Have
- Two (2) years full-time mammography experience
