About This Role

Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high volume outpatient setting. Produce high quality radiographic images while interacting with patients in a caring and comforting manner. Ensure compliance with MQSA and FDA mandates regarding quality control activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease
  • Produce high quality radiographic images
  • Interact with patients in a caring and comforting manner
  • Perform required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA
  • May utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams depending on location

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire
  • National Registered Technologist - Mammography within 1 year of hire
  • Successfully complete mandatory 48-hour mammography training course prior to commencing employment

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Nice to Have

  • Two (2) years full-time mammography experience
