About This Role

The Medical Assistant II works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to provide patient care and perform clinical functions within assigned clinics, adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties as directed by a licensed practitioner to assist in providing patient care
  • Fulfill all aspects of the Medical Assistant I role
  • Perform clinical needs and functions for assigned clinic/location of work
  • Operate in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • 6 months Healthcare experience
  • 6 months Medical Assistant experience

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited medical assistant school or registered apprenticeship program, or two years of medical training in the US Armed Forces, or minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant
  • 6 months healthcare experience; 6 months Medical Assistant experience; 1 year of work experience as a medical assistant (if no formal training)
