Mammography Technologist

About This Role

Perform mammography and DEXA examinations according to established technical standards, ensuring patient safety and well-being. This role supports an outpatient radiology practice by providing optimal radiologic care and maintaining efficient office operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography examinations according to technical standards
• Utilize instructional information and methods established by management
• Provide for the safety, health, and well-being of all patients, visitors, and co-workers
• Become familiar with and respond to emergency codes and life safety practices
• Perform all other related duties to ensure optimum radiologic care and efficient patient flow
• Provide informal supervision and instructional advice to non-technical personnel
• Utilize departmental clerical equipment including computerized information systems for accurate record keeping

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Mammography certification
• Current and valid Radiologic Technologist license in the State of NJ
• American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification
• Full knowledge of all aspects concerning radiation protection

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
