About This Role

Supervise and lead a team of maintenance professionals to ensure apartment communities are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for residents. This role involves budget management, work order delegation, and overseeing capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, schedule, and supervise the daily work of the maintenance team, ensuring high performance and accountability
  • Foster a team culture rooted in excellence, integrity, and values of kindness, connection, and service
  • Supervise vendor partners, ensuring work is completed timely, safely, and to company standards
  • Manage capital improvement projects, including obtaining bids, scheduling, and overseeing successful project execution
  • Proactively identify and resolve service needs throughout the community
  • Maintain and execute quarterly preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical asset
  • Ensure HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other systems are functioning optimally through hands-on repair and oversight
  • Oversee unit turn scheduling and execution, ensuring homes are move-in ready and meet quality standards
  • Personally inspect vacant units to confirm cleanliness, functionality, and presentation prior to move-in
  • Implement and maintain a preventative maintenance plan for all buildings and equipment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or a skilled trade such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or a skilled trade such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. Prior supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

  • Prior supervisory or lead technician experience
  • CPO Certification
