Maintenance Supervisor

About This Role

Supervise and lead a maintenance team responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, tidiness, and welcoming appearance of Association-owned facilities and grounds. This role involves managing staff, overseeing repairs, implementing preventative maintenance, and contributing to budget management.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary service and maintenance to ensure tidiness, cleanliness, and welcoming appearance of Association-owned facilities and grounds
• Supervise the Maintenance Department, including hiring, training, management, scheduling, and evaluation of staff
• Prepare and maintain property to pass required inspections and relevant safety standards (OSHA, company safety and health, etc.)
• Maintain records pertaining to maintenance of facilities and grounds, equipment/asset warranty, and service information
• Complete and delegate repairs and work orders, sometimes overseeing outside vendors or contractors
• Provide monthly reports documenting inspection results
• Establish and implement a preventative maintenance schedule and maintain records of planned service
• Prepare bid specifications and make recommendations for the award of contracts
• Maintain adequate stock of frequently-used items and order equipment, parts, and supplies
• Assist in creating and maintaining a yearly maintenance budget

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in facility and grounds maintenance
• 5+ years of experience in direct supervision of staff role
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products
• Service-oriented, self-motivated, and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Ability to manage staff and establish professional, pleasant, and polite working relationships
• Ability to work weekends, after-hours, and be on-call for emergencies
• Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in facility and grounds maintenance, as well as five years of experience in direct supervision of staff role
