Maintenance Manager

About This Role

Lead an extraordinary maintenance team, revolutionize apartment living experiences, and ensure residents experience luxury living by managing maintenance and preventative maintenance efforts for assigned communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and preventative maintenance efforts for one or more assigned communities
• Oversee physical aspects of buildings, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, major appliances, and amenities
• Ensure maintenance efforts meet operational standards and applicable laws/regulations
• Conduct property visits and work with on-site supervisors to increase proficiency and performance
• Maintain oversight of maintenance operations
• Supervise and develop new associates, providing feedback and coaching

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
• 3-5 years of apartment maintenance or related field
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features, fitness equipment, waste management systems
• Ability to understand basic knowledge of boilers, chillers, chilling towers, sprinklers and steam systems
• Complete understanding of emergency systems, shutoffs, locations and sequence of operations
• Ability to be on-call as required by work schedule and respond within 1 hour
• Ability to communicate with associates, residents and vendors
• Ability to regularly and consistently report on time, work assigned schedule and accurately document/verify time worked

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of apartment maintenance or related field, including 2+ years of people management experience
