Maintenance Control Specialist

About This Role

The Maintenance Control Specialist will be responsible for supporting aircraft maintenance operations by managing work orders, assigning job control numbers, maintaining aircraft records, and assisting with aircraft scheduling and movement.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties assigned by the Maintenance Control Supervisor and be familiar with Aircraft Issue tasks
• Initiate, screen completed work orders for correct entries and data
• Assign Job Control Numbers (JCNs) and distribute work orders
• Complete maintenance data forms and screen for completeness and correctness
• Initiate work orders for inspections in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series
• Maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB) and MDS in accordance with COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Series and other applicable Navy Instructions and Company Instructions
• Verify MDS with Material, ADB, and work centers
• Coordinate and maintain aircraft rinse sheets
• Assist in scheduling aircraft into the Maintenance Program to ensure maximum availability of assets, when qualified and assigned
• Assign logistics priorities for required parts, when qualified and authorized
• Control and direct ground movement of aircraft in support of the maintenance effort, when qualified and authorized
• Monitor and assist the line move crew when operating inside the hangar
• Maintain cleanliness of the work center and assigned work area, adhering to FOD prevention and Tool Control Programs

Requirements

• 2 years specialized experience in aviation maintenance control
• Formal training requirements to be certified to release aircraft safe for flight
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Formal schooling required

Qualifications

• Must have two (2) years specialized experience in aviation maintenance control. Must meet formal training requirements to be certified to release aircraft safe for flight.
