About This Role

Provide specialized nursing care to patients across various medical areas, assessing needs, implementing care utilizing technology, and contributing to a strong interdisciplinary team. Supervise Nurse Aides and ensure excellent patient and family interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of treatments including wound care, irrigations, IV therapy, tube feedings, chest tubes, and peritoneal dialysis
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
  • Advise patients and families regarding changes to medications, treatment plans, and patient condition
  • Provide preventative and supportive care directed to physiologic and psychosocial well-being of patients
  • Oversee Nurse Aide team, including giving direction, assignments, training, recognition, and evaluations
  • Promote hospitality and excellent customer service with guests, families, and visitors

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as an LPN Practical Nurse in Michigan
  • Current CPR-BLS certification
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, or higher
  • High level of analytical abilities to prepare personalized care plans, implement nursing care, and develop solutions
  • Excellent customer service skills
