Laundry Aide

About This Role

The Laundry Aide is responsible for collecting, sorting, washing, and folding linens, ensuring clean laundry is delivered to units, and maintaining a sanitized work area.

Responsibilities

• Collect and sort soiled linen
• Load and unload washing machines and dryers
• Fold clean linen accurately and in a timely manner
• Count the amount of linen processed each day
• Deliver clean laundry to assigned units, using caution when pushing carts
• Clean and sanitize the work area, including machines, worktables, and sorting areas
• Operate computer-operated washers and dryers according to operating procedures

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and all facility personnel
• Excellent customer service skills
