Loss Prevention Officer

About This Role

The Loss Prevention Officer will supervise and observe employees adhering to security protocols and conduct facility audits to ensure safety and security. This role involves general investigations, inventory management, and providing training to other employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, observe, and supervise employees entering and exiting the building through metal detectors to ensure compliance with security protocols
• Walk through and around the exterior of the entire facility conducting Safety/Hazard/Security audits
• Continually monitor the hazard materials storeroom and clean up spills
• Oversee and supervise the disposition of damaged items, load items onto push carts, and move to safe location
• Walk throughout the facility and conduct general investigations, inventory counts and cycle counts
• Use computers and office equipment
• Read Standard Operating Procedures, hear fire/security alarms and phones, and monitor CCTV
• Provide trainings to other employees
• Perform housekeeping duties, keep floors clean, and keep work areas neat and clean

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours
• Able to work a varied schedule to include early mornings, swing shift, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CCTV preferred
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement Field preferred
