Part-Time Stihl Technician

About This Role

Join Great Lakes Ace Hardware as a Part-Time STIHL Technician, responsible for repairing small engines and equipment, with a focus on STIHL products. This role ensures customer satisfaction through high-quality service and supports sales and merchandising efforts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is repaired, safe, and ready to process
• Order repair parts as needed for equipment repair
• Ensure proper check-in and check-out of equipment
• Maintain repair schedule and regular maintenance schedules for all STIHL equipment
• Identify and notify management of any pricing irregularities in the system
• Provide the highest levels of customer service
• Greet and assist customers with merchandise and locating items
• Complete company and departmental paperwork accurately
• Receive, open, unpack, and replenish merchandise
• Display and maintain merchandise following company planograms and guidelines
• Maintain on-hand integrity through inventory adjustment reports
• Follow nightly maintenance checklist for store recovery and cleanliness
• Maintain familiarity with new products and ad merchandise
• Practice loss prevention techniques
• Operate cash register, engage customers, and process transactions
• Adhere to all company policies and participate in team meetings
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends

Requirements

• Mechanically inclined
• Experience in small engine repair and equipment maintenance

Qualifications

• Experience in small engine repair and equipment maintenance, preferably with STIHL power equipment

Nice to Have

• Experience with STIHL power equipment
• Ability to show consumers how to properly use STIHL power equipment
