The Loss Prevention Officer is responsible for helping to maintain a safe and healthy workplace by enforcing company policies, documenting incidents, and preventing accidents and losses. This role primarily involves manning the guard post, verifying identification and credentials for all site visitors, transportation carriers, and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Strictly follow and enforce company policies and procedures
- Document accident/injury incidents through detailed reports
- Participate in activities aimed at preventing accidents and minimizing losses
- Serve as the first point of contact at the guard post for all visitors, transportation carriers, and personnel
- Verify identification and purpose for being on the premises for all entrants
- Ensure all entrants have appropriate credentials and resources for their visit
Requirements
- 1-2 years safety or loss prevention experience
- Valid Driver’s License
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Business or related field or equivalent work experience
- 1-2-year safety or loss prevention experience
