Logistics Coordinator - Transportation

About This Role

This Logistics Coordinator position provides overall direction and operational assistance within a Dedicated Fleet operation, ensuring smooth communication, load planning, and administrative support for drivers and management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain positive and encouraging working relations with all drivers
• Provide constant communications of service issues to appropriate internal and external personnel and departments
• Perform load planning, driver scheduling, and dispatch duties using Dedicated Fleet and Common Carrier resources
• Coordinate daily data entry into NFI’s proprietary order-management-system, TMW
• Coordinate with home-office invoicing team to ensure timely and accurate completion of weekly customer invoices
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily and weekly tasks
• Provide weekly KPI/performance data reports to both internal and external parties
• Coordinate daily on scheduling truck and trailer maintenance
• Work with safety department on DriveCam, driver compliance and HOS issues
• Assist Project Manager with implementing NFI’s Safety, Security and Labor policies
• Manage and maintain driver payroll
• Audit and approve driver expense reports
• Provide assistance to Project Manager wherever needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation
• Computer applications experience including MS Office
• Excellent customer service, problem solving, communication and decision making skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently and multitask
• Ability and availability to work extended hours if necessary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics and/or transportation

• TMW system experience
