Logistics Coordinator

About This Role

This Logistics Coordinator role oversees the entire process of moving material from the company to retail locations, ensuring perishable inventory arrives on time and in perfect condition. The position focuses on optimizing fleet operations, managing routes, and maintaining inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule daily outbound deliveries using the internal fleet
• Assist Transportation Manager in ensuring compliance with DOT regulations
• Support oversight of drivers and vehicles
• Utilize GPS and routing software to create fuel-efficient routes
• Manage delivery windows at retail locations
• Perform strategic load planning to effectively use trailer space
• Act as liaison between Sales (delivery commitments) and Dock Crew (load execution)
• Maintain ERP/Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Ensure real-time inventory updates as trucks depart

Requirements

• 1-2 years of logistics experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Computer literacy
• Detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of logistics experience (willing to train the right person)
