About This Role

The Lifestyle Director will create and facilitate connections between residents and the community through comprehensive event planning, programming, and strong communications. This role will execute CCMC's purpose of building community in a vibrant 55+ residential village.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, promote, and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents
  • Work cohesively with the Communications Associate in developing content for community communications (website, newsletters, promotional materials, social media accounts)
  • Produce, maintain, and follow an annual budget for activity income and expenses
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit residents and the overall community
  • Oversee the operation of the amenity center including rentals
  • Develop and implement general policies and procedures
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Create, coordinate, and support community clubs, groups, and committees
  • Build a strong, professional, and symbiotic relationship with the Board of Directors
  • Engage in public speaking and community engagement

Requirements

  • Ability to work onsite at the community and work full-time hours Tuesday - Saturday, with ability to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with a resident board, committee members, and volunteers
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience
  • 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check
  • Valid state driver’s license
  • Clean motor vehicle report
  • Current automobile insurance at statutory limits for driving roles

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
