This role involves creating and implementing engaging community events and programs, fostering resident connections, and managing facility operations with a focus on active adult communities.
Responsibilities
- Create, plan, promote, and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents
- Develop content for community communications including website, newsletters, promotional materials, and social media accounts
- Produce, maintain, and follow an annual budget for activity income and expenses
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit residents and the community
- Oversee the operation of the amenity center, including rentals
- Develop and implement general policies and procedures
- Provide creation, coordination, and support for community clubs, groups, and committees
- Build a strong, professional, and symbiotic relationship with the Board of Directors
- Perform administrative duties
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite at the community and work full-time hours Monday - Friday
- Ability to work additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively with resident board and committee members, as well as volunteers
- Comfortable with public speaking and engagement
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development
- 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
