Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

Provide direct, quality clinical care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. Observe and evaluate residents' physical and emotional status, identify problems, and initiate interventions.

Responsibilities

• Visit residents on assigned unit daily to observe and evaluate each resident’s physical and emotional status
• Notify the charge nurse, physician, and/or Director of Nursing when there is a change in a resident’s condition
• Identify resident problems and emergency situations and initiate immediate lifesaving measures in the absence of a physician
• Provide holistic care for residents within the scope of your LPN license
• Assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies, and equipment
• Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, and charting
• Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals

Requirements

• Current, valid state LPN license
• Current, valid CPR certification
