This role involves providing compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The LPN ensures patient safety and comfort, contributing to the overall success of the unit under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patients and observe their condition post-anesthesia.
- Administer medications as directed.
- Advocate for patients and provide support.
- Perform wound care and dressing changes.
- Assist patients with various care needs.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Michigan
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required thru the AHA
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic healthcare environment
Nice to Have
- Minimum Of One Year Of Experience As a LPN
- Previous experience in a hospital setting
