Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

Provide direct patient care and perform therapeutic procedures as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role involves gathering and reporting data and carrying out physician orders consistent with PAM Health policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN
• Gather and report patient data
• Carry out physician orders
• Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner

Requirements

• Current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state where the hospital resides
• Current BLS certification

Qualifications

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required. Two years of experience in direct patient care preferred.

Nice to Have

• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
• Higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
• 2 years of experience in direct patient care
