Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

Provide comprehensive nursing care for cardiovascular patients, maintaining established standards and practices under physician supervision. This role involves clinical operations, patient assessment, and support functions to ensure efficient patient flow and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients following established standards and practices
• Communicate effectively with others and function as a member of the healthcare team
• Maintain an inventory of examination/procedure room supplies
• Assist in the organization of efficient patient flow
• Organize the clinic environment to assure patient safety
• Collect patient information and assessment data, including vital signs
• Perform chart review to obtain historical data
• Set up ECG monitor and monitor heartrate prior to procedures
• Start IV for contrast and medication administration
• Maintain and use principles of aseptic techniques and infection control

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with others in the healthcare team
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology
• Skills in applying and modifying principles, methods, and techniques of professional nursing
• Ability to use electronic medical record software
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and multitask
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects
• Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism, complying with HIPAA

Qualifications

• State Practical Nursing license
• Previous cardiology nursing, telemetry, or medical office experience preferred but not required.
