Licensed Practical Nurse

About This Role

As a Clinical Support Nurse in a Minute Clinic, this role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with clinical services, and ensuring efficient clinic operations under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration and intake
• Assist with wait room management to enhance patient experience
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
• Administer vaccine injections
• Conduct patient assessment activities during intake, such as vital signs
• Perform diagnostic tests including EKG, Retinopathy screening, and point of care testing (e.g., COVID testing)
• Provide excellent patient-focused activities to meet the mission of better health
• Participate daily in equipment ordering and clinic preparation
• Float to cover other clinics as business needs require

Requirements

• Full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN License in the State of application
• Experience with documentation of care
• Experience with medication administration
• Experience with infection control precautions
• Experience assessing patient educational needs
• Experience with physical assessment
• Experience obtaining vital signs
• Experience performing point of care testing
• Experience with care coordination

Qualifications

• State approved or accredited licensed LPN or LVN

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
• Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system such as Epic
• Previous phlebotomy experience
