As a Clinical Support Nurse in a Minute Clinic, this role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with clinical services, and ensuring efficient clinic operations under the supervision of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient registration and intake
- Assist with wait room management to enhance patient experience
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
- Administer vaccine injections
- Conduct patient assessment activities during intake, such as vital signs
- Perform diagnostic tests including EKG, Retinopathy screening, and point of care testing (e.g., COVID testing)
- Provide excellent patient-focused activities to meet the mission of better health
- Participate daily in equipment ordering and clinic preparation
- Float to cover other clinics as business needs require
Requirements
- Full, active, and unrestricted LPN/LVN License in the State of application
- Experience with documentation of care
- Experience with medication administration
- Experience with infection control precautions
- Experience assessing patient educational needs
- Experience with physical assessment
- Experience obtaining vital signs
- Experience performing point of care testing
- Experience with care coordination
Qualifications
- State approved or accredited licensed LPN or LVN
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system such as Epic
- Previous phlebotomy experience
