Level I Claims Manager

About This Role

Lead a team of claims professionals responsible for investigation, coverage analysis, liability assessment, and claim resolution. Oversee daily operations, ensure quality and compliance, support adjuster development, and drive a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily claim assignments and ensure timely first contact with all relevant parties
• Monitor investigations, coverage analyses, and liability decisions for accuracy and completeness
• Review claim documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Coach and develop team members to strengthen investigation quality, communication, and negotiation skills
• Maintain oversight of reserves throughout the life of the claim; ensure appropriate adjustments are made
• Ensure timely escalation of potential fraud, severity concerns, recovery opportunities, or complex issues
• Collaborate with material damage units, injury adjusters, and internal partners to support smooth claim handling
• Track and report team performance metrics, including timeliness, cycle time, reserve adequacy, quality results, and customer satisfaction
• Support escalated customer or stakeholder concerns, providing clear explanations of decisions
• Promote a positive, high-performing team culture focused on service excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in personal auto claims, including Bodily Injury (BI), liability, and physical damage
• Must have Florida adjusters license prior to start date
• Strong understanding of claim investigations, coverage evaluation, liability assessment, and resolution tactics
• Ability to make sound decisions and guide team members through complex or sensitive claims
• Excellent communication, coaching, and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Detail oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or above preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in personal auto claims, including Bodily Injury (BI), liability, and physical damage
