The Sales Consultant is responsible for executing property marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies to achieve occupancy, revenue, and resident retention goals while providing excellent service to prospective and current residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform all sales and leasing activities to achieve property revenue and occupancy goals
- Collect all pertinent information from prospective residents at move-in and record as appropriate
- Stay informed about current market and competitor conditions and collaborate with teams/leadership
- Design and execute marketing activities and events to create and drive traffic to the property
- Use on-site property management software to track availability, record activities, and manage data
- Ensure that the property and show units meet Company standards for show quality
- Follow-up with prospects and new residents within 24 hours to ensure satisfaction
- Execute and perform activities in support of the property’s lease renewal program
- Respond quickly and courteously to resident and client/owner concerns and questions
- Attend community and networking events, align with local associations, and participate in outreach marketing efforts
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of sales, marketing, internet, and customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Mathematical skills necessary to process sales conversions
- Ability to apply sales skills
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, property management applications, and database management programs
- Proficiency and fluency in using the internet for marketing, advertising, and sales-related circumstances
- Ability to adapt to specific markets and professionals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, hospitality, or related field preferred
- 1-3 years minimum of relevant experience in sales, marketing, internet, and customer service
