About This Role

Own and operate enterprise SQL Server environments, driving modernization efforts and automating operational workflows. This remote role involves ensuring performance and reliability of SQL Server platforms, collaborating with teams to promote best practices, and reducing technical debt.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate enterprise SQL Server environments across production and non-production tiers
  • Standardize and automate database operational workflows, including script execution intake, monitoring, and deployment processes
  • Diagnose and resolve complex SQL Server performance issues
  • Develop and maintain standardized SQL Server configuration templates
  • Support migrations off legacy SQL Server versions
  • Design and implement automation to improve consistency
  • Collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience administering and supporting SQL Server environments
  • Strong expertise in T-SQL and SQL Server performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with automation and scripting for database operations
  • Experience supporting reporting and analytics workloads
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server architecture, indexing, and security

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience administering and supporting SQL Server environments
