Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex applications and microservices in a cross-domain solution environment, supporting classified development for government IT. This role also involves on-site supervision and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, document, and integrate requirements into features
- Utilize Agile for managing and delivering work across the software development team
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level developers
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions
- Conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best practices in software engineering
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of applications through thoughtful design and automation
- Participate in system architecture discussions and influence key technical decisions
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues in development, testing, and production environments
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability
- 7+ years of professional Java development experience
- Expertise with Java frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA
- Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and Java best practices
- Solid understanding of RESTful web services and API design
- Experience with version control systems (Git using ADO or GitHub)
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams
- Understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and ORM tools
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and test-driven development (TDD)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
- 12 years experience, with 7+ years of professional Java development experience

- Experience in working with ColdFusion
