Ensure all labor compliance requirements are met for a national construction organization, managing subcontractor agreements, conducting audits, and overseeing prevailing wage compliance. This role is crucial for contributing to the company's growth within the construction industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all labor compliance requirements are met in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Manage and monitor sub-contractor agreements, contracts, and compliance
- Conduct regular audits to verify compliance and identify potential risks
- Oversee prevailing wage compliance and ensure all labor rates meet the necessary standards
- Implement and maintain an effective file management system
- Communicate effectively with various departments, contractors, and external agencies to ensure compliance standards are met
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential compliance issues
- Provide training and guidance to team members on labor compliance matters
- Keep abreast of changes in labor laws and regulations and update company policies accordingly
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in labor compliance, contract management, or a related field within the construction industry
- Demonstrated experience in managing sub-contractors and contracts
- In-depth knowledge of prevailing wage compliance and labor laws and regulations
- Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies
- Exceptional file management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven experience in conducting audits and identifying compliance risks
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to make sound decisions
- Proficiency in using standard office software and compliance management systems
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field is preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in labor compliance, contract management, or a related field within the construction industry. Prior experience working with subcontractors and managing certified payroll projects.
