Serve as an IT Specialist focused on information security for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, specifically as the Technical Lead for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total System Computing Environment (TSCE). This role involves providing hardware engineering and technical support, consultative services, and managing technical aspects of TSCE systems.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Technical Lead of the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Total System Computing Environment (TSCE)
- Provide hardware engineering/technical support to LCS TSCE
- Provide consultative and engineering services related to the performance of project-oriented tasks in support of development, integration, modernization, testing, and life cycle engineering of the RSCE architecture
- Manage and coordinate the technical aspects of the TSCE systems, including program definitions, design approaches, testing, configuration, deployment, and maintenance
- Execute Work Breakdown Structure tasks, and Tasks Planning Sheet deliverables, maintaining travel and project schedules
- Serve as an expert in areas of hardware/network architecture as well as software and hardware testing
Requirements
- US Citizen
- Ability to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance
- Cyberspace Workforce position (work role code SYSTEMS SECURITY ANALYSIS, proficiency level Basic)
- Ability to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies
- Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position (DAWIA) within established timeframes
- Minimum 1 year specialized experience coordinating or managing installation, testing, and maintenance of TSCE hardware and ESS on LCS
Qualifications
- At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating or managing the installation, testing, and maintenance of Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) hardware and Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) on Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) to verify systems availability, functionality and efficiency in accordance with cybersecurity requirements for combat ship systems.
