IT Network Conversion Technician

About This Role

Participate in a critical project to upgrade networking equipment across client locations by remotely guiding onsite users through network conversions and conducting test orders to validate success. Work over the phone to explain necessary steps and ensure successful transitions from old to new networks.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a critical project to upgrade networking equipment
• Work over the phone with onsite users to remotely convert networks
• Walk users through necessary steps to convert from old to new networks
• Conduct test orders to validate successful network conversions
• Follow detailed documented processes and prewritten scripts
• Explain directions clearly to onsite contacts
• Resolve basic IT hardware/software issues remotely
• Escalate networking issues to the dedicated team

Requirements

• Experience in an IT Support role (helpdesk and/or desktop support)
• Working knowledge of IT hardware/software
• Strong ability to explain directions to onsite contacts
• Attention to detail

Qualifications

• Experience working in an IT Support role (helpdesk or desktop support)
