Inventory Specialist

About This Role

The Inventory Specialist is a trustworthy professional crucial for maintaining accurate inventory records at TerrAscend. This role involves meticulous record-keeping, data analysis, and coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth material handling and inventory management within the cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform counts and ensure all inventory is accounted for and reported according to company policy
• Maintain and track inventory data through testing process
• Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventory
• Assess inventory output on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to identify trends in productivity
• Coordinate with other department leaders to ensure proper material handling and inventory management through all processes
• Ensure inventory accuracy as product moves through the processes in the company monitoring system (Deacom)
• Audit product inventory weekly or as necessary
• Prepare reports on inventory operations and perform analysis to predict inventory challenges or systematic issues
• Coordinate transfers of material
• Ensure compliance with state mandated inventory controls, reconciliations, and audits
• Report all data to Inventory and Testing Lead

Requirements

• High school diploma minimum
• Operational knowledge of MS Suite including Excel, Sharepoint and Teams
• Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing priorities
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a variety of audiences
• Strong reasoning and organizational skills
• Strong analytical, operational research, root cause, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
