Inventory Control Specialist

About This Role

The Inventory Control Specialist will manage pharmaceutical inventory for a compounding pharmacy, overseeing receiving, put away, cycle counting, and organization to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This role supports the company's exponential growth by maintaining high standards in inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
• Efficiently and accurately put away received items in designated storage locations.
• Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Maintain a well-organized and easily accessible inventory system, including proper labeling and categorization of items.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to determine inventory needs and initiate orders for restocking as required.
• Ensure that all inventory items meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, adjustments, and disposals.
• Work closely with other departments, including pharmacy and procurement teams, to address inventory-related needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
• Periodically drive a 28-foot box truck between facilities as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory, preferably in a pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy environment
• Clean driving record
• Clean criminal record with no felonies
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory data
• Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to lift and move boxes and other inventory items up to 50 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years in inventory, preferably in a pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy environment.

Nice to Have

• Additional education or certification in inventory management
