The Inventory Control Specialist will manage pharmaceutical inventory for a compounding pharmacy, overseeing receiving, put away, cycle counting, and organization to ensure accuracy and efficiency. This role supports the company's exponential growth by maintaining high standards in inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
- Efficiently and accurately put away received items in designated storage locations.
- Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain a well-organized and easily accessible inventory system, including proper labeling and categorization of items.
- Collaborate with relevant teams to determine inventory needs and initiate orders for restocking as required.
- Ensure that all inventory items meet quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, adjustments, and disposals.
- Work closely with other departments, including pharmacy and procurement teams, to address inventory-related needs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory control and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
- Periodically drive a 28-foot box truck between facilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory, preferably in a pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy environment
- Clean driving record
- Clean criminal record with no felonies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory data
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift and move boxes and other inventory items up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years in inventory, preferably in a pharmaceutical or compounding pharmacy environment.
Nice to Have
- Additional education or certification in inventory management
