About This Role

Ensure appropriate dosing and verify compounded medications while upholding quality control and compliance, contributing to a personalized healthcare approach for patients.

Responsibilities

• Check entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
• Perform calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
• Visually check lots compounded in sterile and non-sterile labs
• Visually check individual prescriptions to ensure color, consistency, and general appearance
• Answer and make clarification phone calls dedicated for pharmacists
• Counsel patients
• Offer guidance to providers regarding appropriate therapy and dosing for optimal individualized care

Requirements

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
• Active FL Pharmacist license

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree

Nice to Have

• Experience in compounding
• Understanding of aseptic technique
• Familiar with USP guidelines
