About This Role

The Inventory Control Specialist maintains accurate, real-time records of all company inventory for Headworks International, Inc., a global leader in wastewater treatment technologies. This role ensures inventory visibility, accuracy, and traceability across all locations to support manufacturing, logistics, and operations. The specialist will monitor stock levels, movements, and physical counts, focusing on data integrity and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods
  • Monitor inventory levels and movement using computerized inventory control systems
  • Perform regular cycle counts and coordinate periodic physical inventory audits
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, variances, and adjustments
  • Ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded, including receipts, transfers, issues, and returns
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and warehouse personnel to ensure inventory accuracy and traceability
  • Maintain location control and proper identification of inventory items
  • Generate inventory reports for management as requested
  • Support continuous improvement of inventory control processes and procedures
  • Ensure inventory practices comply with Headworks' ISO, quality, and safety standards

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills, including Excel and inventory management systems
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze data and identify discrepancies or trends
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing or warehouse environments
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent minimum. Associate's degree or higher preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support

Nice to Have

  • Technical experience with accounting, MRP software
