Join the Hartford Hospital Cath Lab team as an Interventional Technologist, performing complex cardiac procedures and contributing to positive patient outcomes in a high-functioning, fast-paced environment. This role involves functioning in circulating, monitoring, and scrub roles during invasive cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Develop a complex skill set valued by the entire team
- Contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Function in different roles during invasive cardiac procedures, including circulating, monitoring, and scrub
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Work with a wide array of equipment such as contrast injectors, ultrasounds, IVUS, mechanical thrombectomy devices, and atherectomy supplies
- Become knowledgeable in a vast array of supplies including stents, balloons, catheters, coils, etc.
- Enter patient information into x-ray equipment
- Annotate, post-process, and send patient images to the PACs system
- Adhere to Radiation Safety and Standards such as ALARA principles
Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program
- ARRT credentialed Radiology Technologist
- CT Radiographer license
- BLS
- ACLS
Qualifications
- Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program
- Entry level, Cath lab, interventional radiology or hybrid OR room experience preferred, but not required
Nice to Have
- CI or VI, Advanced certification by ARRT
- Cath lab, interventional radiology or hybrid OR room experience
