Interventional Technologist - Cardiac Lab

About This Role

Join the Hartford Hospital Cath Lab team as an Interventional Technologist, performing complex cardiac procedures and contributing to positive patient outcomes in a high-functioning, fast-paced environment. This role involves functioning in circulating, monitoring, and scrub roles during invasive cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop a complex skill set valued by the entire team
• Contribute to positive patient outcomes
• Function in different roles during invasive cardiac procedures, including circulating, monitoring, and scrub
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of cardiac anatomy and physiology
• Work with a wide array of equipment such as contrast injectors, ultrasounds, IVUS, mechanical thrombectomy devices, and atherectomy supplies
• Become knowledgeable in a vast array of supplies including stents, balloons, catheters, coils, etc.
• Enter patient information into x-ray equipment
• Annotate, post-process, and send patient images to the PACs system
• Adhere to Radiation Safety and Standards such as ALARA principles

Requirements

• Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program
• ARRT credentialed Radiology Technologist
• CT Radiographer license
• BLS
• ACLS

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA accredited Radiography program
• Entry level, Cath lab, interventional radiology or hybrid OR room experience preferred, but not required

Nice to Have

• CI or VI, Advanced certification by ARRT
• Cath lab, interventional radiology or hybrid OR room experience
