About This Role

Install electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices for solar PV systems, including batteries, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer specifications. This role acts as a technical specialist and may serve as a team leader.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform the installation of solar panel systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Diagram layouts and locations for photovoltaic (PV) arrays and equipment, including existing building or site features
• Identify installation locations with proper orientation, area, solar access, or structural integrity for photovoltaic (PV) arrays
• Install or upgrade electrical service equipment, wiring, and devices required for the installation of solar panel systems including battery systems
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities and provide regular updates of job status
• Perform jobs from high places (i.e. on roofs) including climbing ladders with proper equipment and materials
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians on solar panel installation best practices

Requirements

• Solar installation expertise
• Electrical expertise
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience in solar installation and electrical expertise
