This Inside Sales Representative role is responsible for driving sales and maintaining customer engagement within the telecommunications industry. The role involves prospecting leads, providing dedicated customer support, generating quotes, and fostering long-term relationships.
Responsibilities
- Own and Develop Opportunities: Qualify and nurture leads from various channels including company website, marketing initiatives, and established accounts.
- Customer Support: Provide dedicated support to new and existing customers within your market.
- Quote Creation: Generate daily quotations, aiming for competitive pricing and lead times while achieving margin goals, and proactively suggest additional products.
- Quote Follow-up: Routinely follow up on open quotes to convert them to sales and document reasons for lost sales in ERP/CRM systems.
- Sales Order Execution: Accurately process customer orders in a timely manner, ensure on-time delivery, and provide consultative support.
- Relationship Building: Grow and strengthen customer relationships through exceptional service, expanding contacts and introducing additional product lines.
- Utilize Tools Efficiently: Consistently and accurately use company ERP and CRM software to document customer activity, and leverage internal tools for routine tasks.
- Customer Order Cycle Management: Deliver outstanding service throughout the entire order process, serving as the primary point of contact.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Outside Sales, Product Line Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, Warehouse Operations) for seamless communication.
- Professional Representation: Represent the organization with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-centric approach at all times.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment with a strong customer service orientation
- Ability to interface with Suppliers, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
- Related experience with a strong blend of proactive contact and handling inbound activity
- Tenacity and trouble shooting ability to overcome obstacles to meet company goals
