Inn Housekeeper Assistant

About This Role

This role is responsible for assisting and supporting room attendants in maintaining the cleanliness of guest areas and rooms at the Inn on Biltmore Estate, adhering to hotel and four-star/diamond standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support room attendants in maintaining cleanliness of guest areas and rooms.
• Remove and store dirty linen and trash from room attendant carts and hallways.
• Deliver clean materials and timely service to room attendants.
• Handle guest deliveries to rooms and special requests.
• Pick up dirty linen and deliver to appropriate area.
• Place dirty linen in proper bins and keep laundry room organized.
• Deliver clean linen and supplies to room attendants on guest floors in a timely manner.
• Remove trash from carts, hallways, and storage areas and dispose of properly.
• Wash glasses and cups, and deliver to room attendants on guest floors.
• Vacuum and dust guest hallways, polishing woodwork and stainless steel as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe stairwells, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Keep service elevators and landings clean.
• Keep closets and storage areas stocked, neat, clean and organized.
• Clean vending areas, including ice machines and beverage machines.
• Perform guest deliveries to rooms as assigned.
• Responsible for weekly cleaning projects on the guest floors.

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to be proactive and take initiative.
• Solid communication skills.
• Ability to operate/use small commercial cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or custodial, janitorial, or related field strongly preferred.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or custodial, janitorial, or related field.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping and/or rooms operations.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques.
