Industrial Maintenance Reliability Technician

About This Role

This role involves performing all maintenance tasks, specifically proactive tasks, to ensure high quality, efficient, and timely shipment of Sonoco products.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain auxiliary equipment as required by production
• Maintain and repair utility and facility-related equipment as directed by the maintenance lead
• Assist and train other maintenance personnel with repairs, preventive maintenance, and rebuilds
• Collaborate closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area
• Manage small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment
• Perform all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies

Requirements

• Electrical experience is a MUST
• Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment
• Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls
• Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs
