Join the Johnson & Johnson MedTech Industrial Design, Human Factors & User Experience (IDHF|UX) team as an intern to improve people's lives through exceptional user experiences in new product development. Lead contextual research, design information, create concepts, and test iteratively.
Responsibilities
- Analyze user workflows and audit the competitive landscape
- Perform usability heuristic evaluations and prioritize user requirements
- Define information architecture and wireframe interfaces
- Visually design interfaces and build interactive prototypes for testing
- Develop presentations for storytelling purposes
- Partner with designers on all phases of the design process, including human factors research, product research, concept sketching, product renderings, 3D database development, animation, graphic design & illustration, usability testing, product marketing support, and concept presentations
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a college/institution pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Industrial Design
- 2nd year of bachelor's or above
- Authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship in the future
- Availability for at least a 4-month co-op rotation (May to August 2026)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Demonstrated leadership/participation in campus programs and/or community service activities
- Experience using 2D and 3D design software (Solidworks, Autodesk Alias, Rhino, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keyshot or similar)
- Experience with prototyping (3D Printing, CNC)
- Exceptional design, presentation, and communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design
