About This Role

Provide income tax audit representation and taxpayer education to clients, minimizing stress when dealing with tax authorities and managing federal and state tax audit defense case loads.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients with income tax audit representation and taxpayer education
• Minimize client stress when dealing with the IRS or any tax authority
• Manage federal and state tax audit defense case loads
• Assist taxpayers in gathering documents and information
• Organize documents and prepare response packages for submission to IRS and state taxing authorities
• Draft correspondence to tax authorities
• Discuss cases and tax law with IRS and state agents
• Provide support work on team members’ audit cases

Requirements

• Minimum 3 – 6 years of tax experience
• Active EA or CPA credentials
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws
• Ability to communicate clearly in the explanation of tax-related issues
• Customer service orientation with impeccable professionalism
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
