This role will perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds, focusing on HVAC/R systems and other trade skills. The Commercial HVAC Mobile Building Engineer will support multiple facilities in the Fort Myers, FL area.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment and grounds.
- Monitor building system operations and performance.
- Utilize trade skills in HVAC/R, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, roofing, heating and cooling.
- Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Inspect building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing.
- Oversee and inspect work performed by outside contractors.
- Perform assigned repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance.
- Complete maintenance and repair records as required.
- Review assigned work orders and estimate time and materials needed.
- Order necessary materials and supplies.
- Maintain an energy management program to operate systems efficiently.
- Maintain the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
- Perform welding, carpentry, furniture assembly and locksmith tasks.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of related experience in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing
- EPA certification
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
- Must live within designated radius of the job site
- Comfortable with extensive everyday travel covering Fort Myers, South Tampa, and Naples, FL
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of five years of related experience and/or trade school training, focusing on HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing.
Nice to Have
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
