About This Role

This HR Specialist role supports the human resources functions for a well-established company with a family-oriented corporate culture. The position will focus on onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, and maintaining accurate employee records.

Responsibilities

  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including documentation, system setup, and orientation coordination
  • Manage offboarding procedures, including final pay, benefits wrap-up, and exit documentation
  • Facilitate benefits enrollment and respond to employee benefit inquiries
  • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in the payroll systems
  • Serve as liaison between hiring managers and DOT consultants to ensure proper paperwork is completed for DOT compliance
  • Work closely with the accounting team to validate payroll general ledger account balances each month
  • Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects and HR initiatives

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft 365
  • Strong knowledge of Excel

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience in human resources
  • Proficiency in payroll software systems, ADP Workforce Now
