The Human Resource Assistant will support the HR department by managing various programs and procedures for the workforce. This role involves acting as a primary contact for employees and managers on people processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the employee lifecycle from post-offer to departure.
Responsibilities
- Process employee lifecycle transactions and ensure all paperwork is complete and compliant.
- Assist with post-employment-offer paperwork, including I-9 verification via E-Verify, background screenings, and drug testing programs.
- Provide accurate information to employees and managers regarding HR processes and policies.
- Assist with benefits administration and wellness program coordination.
- Maintain employment forms and HR information on the Corporate Intranet and handle verification of employment requests.
- Prepare reports, handle correspondence, and provide general administrative assistance to the HR leadership team.
Requirements
- Intermediate proficiency in data entry with high accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to excellent internal customer service.
- Experience with auditing paperwork for completion and compliance.
- Comfortable using HRIS systems, E-Verify, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a dedicated HR support role.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Experience with background check and drug screening coordination.
