As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, greeting them, seating them, and managing restaurant flow to ensure an excellent dining experience. You will also assist with clearing tables and processing carry-out orders.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner
- Engage in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion
- Introduce guests to their server
- Manage restaurant waiting list during high volume to accurately set guest expectations
- Clear, clean and reset tables to ensure they are ready for the next guest
- Sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Take carry out orders and input them into the POS
Requirements
- Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner
- Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
- Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents
- Ability to converse comfortably with customers in English
- Very friendly and customer service related personality
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
