Host/Hostess

About This Role

As a Host/Hostess, you will be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing waitlists, and ensuring tables are clean and ready for new guests in a team-oriented, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly and inviting manner from the Hostess podium
• Engage in friendly conversation while seating guests in a timely fashion
• Introduce guests to their assigned server
• Manage the restaurant waiting list during high volume periods to set accurate guest expectations
• Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly for new guests
• Sincerely thank guests as they leave and invite them to return

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and converse comfortably with customers in English

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of customer service, retail sales, or food service experience preferred
