About This Role

Drive and operate heavy equipment delivery vehicles for EquipmentShare, ensuring timely and safe transport of construction equipment while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role supports the construction industry by leveraging innovative technology to provide real-time access to fleet locations and delivery details.

Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • Transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
  • Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • Assist with loading or load and unload goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unload empty skids and return all equipment to designated area
  • Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete
  • Facilitate routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air; report maintenance malfunctions to Shipping Supervisor
  • Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns

Requirements

  • Ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
  • Ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • Must hold a commercial driver's license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur's license where applicable
  • Must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations
  • Must pass DOT physical
  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
