Healthcare Informatics Consultant

About This Role

This role involves leading healthcare transformation by providing sophisticated insights and operational techniques to enhance clinical outcomes and streamline patient data management. The consultant will work with diverse clients, focusing on EHR data extraction, reporting, and data governance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary consultant for multiple clients, providing expert-level guidance on EHR data structures and reporting capabilities
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and translate complex workflows into actionable technical specifications
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnership
• Anticipate client needs and proactively recommend solutions and improvements
• Design, build, and optimize EHR data extracts with a focus on Epic and Cerner platforms
• Develop sophisticated SQL queries and data models to support various use cases
• Lead validation efforts to ensure accuracy and completeness of extracted data
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders and provide training to empower clients

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in an informatics-related role within a healthcare institution
• Deep understanding of healthcare workflows, particularly in radiology
• Advanced SQL skills with solid understanding of data architecture and modeling
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills for engagement with technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Health Informatics or Data Analytics
