Healthcare Administration Intern

About This Role

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand experience in the operations of a retirement community and/or healthcare administration. The individual will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to real-world projects impacting daily operations within a continuing care residential community.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data entry and analysis for various administrative reports
• Conduct research and prepare presentations on industry trends and regulations
• Support with project management duties, including scheduling meetings, organizing information, and maintaining records
• Provide administrative support to various departments, including HR and leadership for new employee onboarding
• Develop and improve departmental processes and procedures
• Shadow Healthcare Administrator on off-hours once a month to inspect facility and meet night shift

Requirements

• Current bachelor’s degree enrollment in a related field
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in MS Office suite of products and data analysis tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated interest in administrative field and/or healthcare
