About This Role

Lead the design and development of key product initiatives within a pharmacy automation robotic portfolio, focusing on hardware development and quality design improvements. Provide technical guidance to an engineering team, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and within-budget project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategic hardware direction of a key product within the pharmacy automation portfolio to improve customer satisfaction and cost-effectiveness
  • Lead Hardware Engineering Team members in developing NPD initiatives, providing technical guidance for quality, timeliness, and budget adherence
  • Ensure the team utilizes best engineering practices in design, analysis, simulation, integration, testing, and documentation
  • Develop an integrated R&D product development project plan for efficient and quality delivery
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues
  • Apply a data-driven prioritization process to focus on high-value tasks
  • Collaborate with core team members and functional leaders to align new hardware developments with organizational goals and track program performance
  • Collaborate with multi-functional development teams to define technical product strategies and technology roadmaps
  • Ensure alignment to company processes including Design Controls, Product Lifecycle Management, Configuration Management, and Phase Reviews
  • Provide labor and non-labor needs and schedule estimations for hardware related scope and work

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field
  • 2+ years related work experience in R&D technical engineering leadership roles
  • Experience leading engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, control software engineers)
  • Understanding of full cycle product development and quality management systems
  • Understanding of current safety and regulatory standards for robotic products sold globally
  • Leadership experience in a complex development environment
  • Experience with development landmark planning and project management methodologies (Agile and/or waterfall) for complex systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering field
  • 2+ years related work experience in R&D technical engineering leadership roles

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in engineering field
  • PMP certification
  • Experience in the design and development of medical device systems or other FDA regulated products
  • Experience working with global teams and external development partners
